The Cincinnati Bengals have sent one coach down to Mobile, Alabama for this week's Senior Bowl. Cornerbacks coach Charles Burks will get hands on with the defensive backs for the National Team starting this morning, but he plans to have eyes everywhere.

"I'm going to try and approach it like I'm the defensive coordinator for an NFL team," Burks told Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson. "I'm going to pay attention to the defensive linemen. I'm going to pay attention to the linebackers. I'm going to do my own writeups after practice. Regardless of my title, I can always create responsibilities for myself and get myself prepared for the next stage of my career."

So let's take his word for it. Burks will have plenty of NFL talent on the field with him at multiple positions, and the Bengals could be interested in defensive tackles and cornerbacks early in April's NFL Draft. Here are the players on the National Team roster at those positions who are inside the top 100 of the Consensus Big Board according to NFL Mock Draft Database.

Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

Height: 6'4 6/8"
Weight: 261
Hand: 9 3/8"
Arm: 32 4/8"
Wingspan: 79 2/8"

Ranked as the 11th player on the Consensus Big Board, Latu is arguably this year's top edge defender, which is why he's included in this list of DTs and CBs. He posted a true pass set pass rush grade of 94.5 last year, per Pro Football Focus. His production profile and technical prowess will have to outweigh how teams, like the Bengals, may feel about his lack of length.

Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

Height: 6'0 3/8"
Weight: 195
Hand: 9 1/8"
Arm: 31 1/8"
Wingspan: 75 6/8"

Ranked as the 27th player on the Consensus Big Board, Mitchell will be looking to solidify himself as a first-round prospect under Burks' teachings. He posted a 91.6 coverage grade last season, per PFF, and has intercepted six passes compared to just three touchdowns allowed in coverage since 2022. Now he'll get to showcase his talents against better competition, something the Bengals very much care about.

Kalen King, CB, Penn State

Height: 5'11"
Weight: 189
Hand: 8 5/8"
Arm: 30 3/8"
Wingspan: 74 6/8"

Ranked as the 41st player on the Consensus Big Board, King is the top prospect for PSU down in Mobile this week, and the first underclassman from the program to ever compete in the Senior Bowl. He had a down year in 2023 compared to 2022 when he hauled in three interceptions and posted a 90.6 coverage grade, per PFF. A good week can shoot him back up the boards into first-round territory, or he could stay in the Bengals' range in the second.

Brandon Dorlus, IDL, Oregon

Height: 6'3 1/8"
Weight: 272
Hand: 9 2/8"
Arm: 33 3/8"
Wingspan: 81"

Ranked as the 60th player on the Consensus Big Board, Dorlus needs a good week of practice to show he can stay inside at that size. Mainly rushing the B-gaps of opposing offensive lines, Dorlus racked up over 30 hurries for a third straight season and a pass rush win rate of 10.5%, per PFF. He could be an intriguing option on Day 2 for Cincinnati.

Michael Hall Jr., IDL, Ohio State

Height: 6'2 3/8"
Weight: 280
Hand: 10 1/8"
Arm: 33 2/8"
Wingspan: 81 2/8"

Ranked as the 76th player on the Consensus Big Board, Hall is another slightly undersized interior pass rusher from a good program. He posted a pass rush win rate of 18.3% with a true pass set pass rush grade of 87.6 last year, per PFF. His stock matches right where the Bengals usually take swings at pass rushers.

Tyler Davis, IDL, Clemson

Height: 6'1 6/8"
Weight: 299
Hand: 9 2/8"
Arm: 30 6/8"
Wingspan: 75 4/8"

Ranked as the 96th player on the Consensus Big Board, Davis carries a normal height and weight for a 3-technique, but he severely lacks the recommended length for the position. This didn't stop him from posting a 90.8 run defense grade with a 10.7% pass rush win rate, per PFF. The Bengals took a Clemson defensive lineman last year in Myles Murphy. Will they be interested in his former teammate?

Khyree Jackson, CB, Oregon

Height: 6'3 4/8"
Weight: 203
Hand: 8 7/8"
Arm: 32"
Wingspan: 78"

Ranked as the 99th player on the Consensus Big Board, Jackson is built like the prototype Cover 3 cornerbacks that terrorized the NFL a decade ago. He had his best season last year when he allowed a passer rating of just 41.6 and graded out to 77.4 in coverage, per PFF. The Bengals may need to take another swing at cornerback with Chidobe Awuzie likely out the door.

The Bengals have made it a habit in the Zac Taylor era to draft Senior Bowl participants. Cam Taylor-Britt, Logan Wilson, and Andrei Iosivas are just a few examples of why it's a worthy practice.

Burks should be reporting back to Cincinnati next week with valuable scouting information that can determine who's next to follow.
