Sports Illustrated's Connor Orr made some "bold" predictions for each NFL team this week and Cincinnati Bengals fans will love how he sees the 2024 season playing out.
Orr predicted that Cincinnati will lead the NFL in total offense next season on their way to a win against the Detroit Lions in Super Bowl LIX.
From SI.com: No Brian Callahan? No problem. Zac Taylor and Dan Pitcher, the team’s new offensive coordinator and a prospective future star, are going to post the best numbers of Burrow’s career in 2024. That means besting 35 touchdowns, and the 4,600 yards Burrow threw for during the Bengals’ Super Bowl season in 2021.
Oh, and the Bengals defeat the Detroit Lions in Super Bowl LIX.
The 2023 season was a bit of a "wasted" year for the Bengals due to a calf injury that limited quarterback Joe Burrow early in the season and then his eventual season-ending wrist injury.
But with Burrow back (and healthy) in 2024, the Bengals should absolutely be considered frontrunners to win a championship. Burrow, after all, is the only active quarterback that has a playoff win against Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
And by the way, Super Bowl LIX will be played in New Orleans at the Superdome. Burrow knows a thing or two about winning championships in New Orleans — he led LSU to a win against Clemson in the 2019 national championship game in the Superdome.
It would be quite poetic for Burrow to get his first Super Bowl win in the same stadium where he capped off one of the greatest seasons in College Football history.
