Nearly of the NFL teams searching for their next head coach have already interviewed Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.

Cincinnati's OC of the last five years has clearly made an impression on the rest of the league with how he helped backup quarterback Jake Browning succeed in place of Joe Burrow

There's another club that has yet to interview him, and they may be where Callahan ends up when it's all said and done.

ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano gave his predictions for which head coaching candidates will be hired by which teams. He has the Carolina Panthers landing on Callahan.

"My prediction for the next Panthers coach: [Brian] Callahan. Industry insiders are finding this a tough one to call, since there's skepticism about the willingness of candidates to work for impatient team owner David Tepper. I expect this hire to be an offensive-minded coach whose task will be getting the most out of 2023 top pick Bryce Young, who struggled in Year 1 with a 33.4 QBR (29th in the NFL). It has been thought for a while that [Callahan] — who has been Joe Burrow's coordinator in Cincinnati for the quarterback's entire career — is Carolina's top choice, but he could have better offers.." – ESPN's Dan Graziano

The Panthers certainly have their priorities straight. They traded up before last year's NFL Draft to take Young first overall, and the former Heisman Trophy winner looked anything but ready to start in the NFL. His incompetence was ultimately blamed on head coach Frank Reich, who was let go just 11 games into his first and only season on the job.

Maximizing Young is what the Panthers have to do, and they have to do it now. It's for this reason why A to Z Sports Panthers beat writer Ian Kayanja believes Callahan is an ideal fit for Carolina.

"The Panthers are searching for an offensive head coach who could help mentor quarterback Bryce Young. Young slogged through an awful rookie season under former head coach Frank Reich. Callahan has drawn praise for his work with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, making his experience developing young quarterbacks a feather in his cap when it comes to his prospects of landing a job with Carolina." – A to Z Sports' Ian Kayanja

Callahan will officially interview with the Panthers on Thursday, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
