Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is going into the playoffs with a chip on his shoulder.
And that could be bad news for the Baltimore Ravens, the Bengals' opponent in the first round of the playoffs.
Chase is frustrated with the lack of pass interference calls he's been getting lately.
"I haven't been getting any calls since the Tampa game," said Chase this week to reporters.
"I'm one of the best receivers in the league, I should be able to get those calls," added Chase.
The lack of pass interference calls isn't the only thing that Chase is frustrated about.
The former LSU standout told reporters that he wasn't happy with Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith's hit after an incompletion in the end zone in Cincinnati's win over Baltimore this past week.
"He did that on purpose," said Chase when asked about Smith's hit. "That's alright, we got something for that."
Chase noted that Smith was the only Baltimore player trying to do "messy stuff".
Here's the play that Chase was asked about.
When Smith was asked this week about the "dirty play" talk, he had a simple response.
"See you Sunday."
Last week's game between the Bengals and the Ravens certainly got chippy. It's rare that we get to see two teams meet two weeks in a row, but that's the situation between these two bitter AFC North rivals. And considering what we've heard this week from both teams, it sounds like the playoff game between Cincinnati and Baltimore could be one of the "chippiest" games we've seen all year.
Buckle up — it's going to be a wild one on Sunday night.
