Thursday night was one to remember for Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt and the rest of the team, as they were awarded their Super Bowl LVIII ring.
The entire team returned to Kansas City to honor this incredible accomplishment, but there was one very important person who was missing from the celebration.
Taylor Swift couldn't be there alongside her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, because the singer was performing her Eras Tour in Liverpool, England.
But she made sure to tune in despite the time difference. And it was something Hunt certainly picked up on.
"She is in Liverpool this week and we had a ring ceremony a couple of nights ago, which she stayed up for, it was about 4am in Liverpool, and she sent a social media communication that used the word, 'we,' so she is definitely part of the team's kingdom," Hunt said at an Athletes in Action event in Ohio over the weekend.
During the ceremony, the singer was watching a livestream from the Instagram of Mecole Hardman's girlfriend, Chariah Gordo.
And she left plenty of comments to prove she was tuning in.
"JOINING THE PARTY FROM LIVERPOOL LET'S GOOOOOOOO," she wrote. And it didn't stop there.
"😍😍😍"
"YESSSSSSS"
"CONGRATULATIONS"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE 👑"
"Gotta go to sleep it's so late here love you guys❣️❣️❣️"
But while she couldn't be there in person, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes both channeled their inner Swiftie, honoring her in an incredible way during the event. The Chiefs head coach and star quarterback both showed up wearing friendship bracelets, which is something that is associated with the singer.
Swift was a major part of the storyline for the Chiefs last season, attending numerous games in between her busy tour schedule. And she didn't stop there, traveling to each and every one of the team's playoff games.
She has already won over Reid and Mahomes along with so many of Kelce's other teammates. And now she can officially say she has the support of the Chiefs owner.
"First of all, we’re so happy for Travis and Taylor — what a great couple," Hunt said. "It’s now nice to have her as [a] big fans of the Chiefs."
While everyone already assumed Swift was a part of Chiefs Kingdom, the singer has made that loud and clear to anyone listening. Plus, red and yellow is a great color combo for her!
