Cleveland Browns take on the Denver Broncos in a Monday night game tonight on the road. It’ll be another test for the 3-8 Browns, who are the underdogs against the 7-5 Broncos.

Things have gone the opposite of expectations for the Browns this season and their future is cloudy. One player that may not be playing a whole lot longer is left guard Joel Bitonio. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Bitonio was to hang it up after a year like this one.

Bitonio is in year No. 11 with the Browns and went from 2017 through 2022 without missing a single game for the Browns. He is a six-time Pro Bowler that will be tough to replace. The latest 2025 NFL mock draft from A to Z Sports lands the Browns a possible replacement.

Cleveland Browns select LSU OL Will Campbell at No. 8 overall

“The Browns are likely to move off of Deshaun Watson this offseason, but there isn't a great prospect to take at this spot with Sanders and Ward off the board. Whoever plays quarterback next season will need some extra help on the offensive line. Campbell might not have long enough arms to play tackle in the NFL, but he projects like a stud guard on the inside in that case. The Browns could certainly use him next year on the interior or at left tackle.” – Tyler Forness, A to Z Sports

If the Browns believe that Campbell can stay being a tackle like he is in the NFL, then he would have the ability to compete for a spot right away there as well. The Browns can not afford a major hole on the offensive line as they have at left tackle currently, so they would need to have a plan in place if Bitonio was to hang it up.

Campbell has started all 38 games for the LSU Tigers over the last three seasons. Campbell allowed three sacks as a freshman, then surrendered zero as a sophomore last season. Now, he is expected to be one of the earliest offensive linemen off the board in April.

If the Browns win another game or two they may not be in a spot to take the top quarterback in the draft being outside of the top three in the order. Going to the best player available at No. 8 wouldn’t be a bad idea. Campbell is a quality offensive lineman and should have a good career at either guard or tackle.

The season is still ongoing for the Browns, but they’re certainly looking toward the future with it being a lost season, so everyone else should too when it comes to thinking about things like mock drafts.
