Tight end Harrison Bryant will return soon, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland Dot Com.
Bryant has been out most of training camp, since August 1 to be exact.
The reasoning for Bryant being unavailable hasn’t been disclosed, it’s just been noted to be a personal health issue. It will be key for the Browns to get Bryant back, who will likely fit in as the team’s third tight end behind David Njoku and Jordan Akins.
Throughout the time missed, Bryant has still been with the team so that is a positive. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is going to have three capable pass-catching tight ends in his arsenal.
Cleveland drafted Bryant in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. As a second tight end, Bryant’s production has never really taken off. Last season, Bryant topped his career high of 238 receiving yards by a single yard. In his second season, he had 233 yards.
Perhaps playing with the most talented quarterback he’s had will benefit him in 2023. Cleveland has plenty of playmakers — he won’t need to put up earth-shattering numbers.
After a couple of weeks of losing players like defensive ends Alex Wright and Isaiah Thomas — as well as running back Jerome Ford — the Browns will be plenty ecstatic to welcome a player back.
Browns week 4 game might have just became easier with latest Ravens news
If the Ravens are missing this defender, week 4 just became a bit easier for the Browns.
