Andrew Berry, the Cleveland Browns' general manager, answered key questions surrounding the future of the team on Monday.

He tackled the looming future of star running back Nick Chubb. And he also addressed what to expect from Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. However, Berry also hinted at the future of Joe Flacco, the journeyman quarterback who helped propel Cleveland to the playoffs, who is expected to be a free agent with a market come spring.

"We’d love to have Joe back," Berry said. "He’s a good quarterback, but I guess, maybe a little bit similar to Jacoby last year, it depends, right? I want to bring all of our good players back, but there are constraints to that on really kind of both sides of the aisle, but would have no problem having Joe back.”

Would Flacco's return hurt Watson?

Berry was asked whether he would be concerned about the locker room if Flacco was brought back on a backup quarterback contract. His answer was simple – no concern.

“Zero. Zero consideration," Berry said of any awkwardness that would come from either quarterback. "Zero considerations, because of how both individuals are, it’s not a concern internally at all.”

Recently, Flacco said he deeply enjoyed his time in Cleveland.

The NFL veteran appeared on Pardon My Take, gushing about the Browns organization while also hinting at a potential return.

"Cleveland was unbelievable," Flacco said. "I am open to being back in Cleveland. I don't want to rush any decisions either. I didn't know what the market for QB looked like last spring. I don't know what it will look like this spring.

"I don't know if I am going to have options or if I am going to have zero options. I love Cleveland. I love the people – everything about it. I can’t say enough good things about how this organization is being run right now."

Cleveland doesn't appear to be through with Flacco. Bringing him back as a backup quarterback could give Kevin Stefanski some assurance that, if Watson can't finish another season, he has a quarterback who knows the offense and has seen success with his playbook before.

The future of Flacco isn't assured, but it is looking increasingly likely Cleveland will at least allow the veteran to attempt to negotiate an additional contract.
