After hiring Ken Dorsey to be the next offensive coordinator, it is going to be interesting to see what wrinkles he adds to the offense for the Cleveland Browns.

One thing that the Browns should monitor is free agents that are pending for the Buffalo Bills on the offensive side of the ball.

Looking to add some familiarity for Dorsey from his last stop to mix in with is already in Cleveland is not a bad idea for the transition.

While the Bills don’t have many impending free agents on the offensive side of the football, there are a few that stand out.

WR Gabe Davis

Here is the top option if you’re going to handpick someone from the Bills that is a free agent. Davis has produced as an alternate option to Stefon Diggs with Josh Allen as his quarterback for a couple of seasons now. Davis would give Cleveland another outside wideout opposite of Amari Cooper and the move would allow Elijah Moore to work inside. According to A to Z Sports’ cap experts, below is the contract that Davis could receive in free agency.

  • Franchise Tag Likelihood: Low
  • 3 yrs $37.5M, $12.5M APY, $15M GTD
  • Year One Cap Hit: $6.5 million

WR Trent Sherfield

Sherfield didn’t do a whole lot with the Bills in 2023 and his best season as a pro was with the Miami Dolphins in 2022. Still, Sherfield is an option to add to the end of the wide receiver room. Cleveland needs to continue to evolve the position year in and year out. The 27-year-old will be an option.

G David Edwards

Cleveland’s top backup guard for the last couple of seasons has been Michael Dunn. Dunn is set to be a free agent and the Browns are going to need to add to the offensive line whether or not they bring him back. Edwards is a 27-year-old guard who was a multi-year starter with the Los Angeles Rams before playing a year in Buffalo as depth. Offensive line depth is crucial and you can’t have enough of it. Pay attention to what Edwards does in free agency.
