The NFL draft is always a good time of year for Cleveland Browns fans and it’s been that way for a long time.

Cleveland has 10 draft picks come April and a chance to speed up their rebuild significantly. The Browns’ 2025 draft class looks to be a major success, Cleveland needs to try to replicate it

Browns get just the players they need in latest 3-round NFL mock draft

In a recent collaborative mock draft between eight different NFL draft writers at A to Z Sports, the Browns came away with a difference-making haul through three rounds.

Round 1, Pick 6: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Round 1, Pick 24: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah

Round 2, Pick 39: Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&M

Round 3, Pick 70: Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State

Landing Tate at pick No. 6 gives the Browns one of the three wideouts from this class who project as premier talents if healthy. Tate is a terrific route runner, wins downfield, and makes contested catches. The Ohio State product would immediately upgrade the Browns’ wide receiver room. There isn’t much locked in for the Browns in terms of wide receivers for the future.

The next three picks going along the offensive line are a very real possibility. If the value is there, it’s easy to see the Browns picking multiple offensive linemen in this draft. Cleveland is replacing as many as five starters from 2025.

Taking Lomu in the late first round gives the Browns a tackle for the future. If the Utah offensive lineman doesn’t work at tackle, he could make a good guard. The Browns need more good football players along the offensive line and Lomu fits the bill.

Bisontis is one of the best interior offensive linemen in the draft and Cleveland taking him in the second is a good call. If Todd Monken wants to turn this thing around, it’ll start in the trenches. Taking Shelton in the third gives the Browns another tackle with developmental potential to be a starter.

With 10 picks to make, it’s key for general manager Andrew Berry to hit on these selections. It’s a lock the Browns are going offensively heavy this draft.
