It was a disaster showing for the Cleveland Browns yesterday with their 29-12 loss in Denver to the Broncos.

Cleveland didn’t play well enough on either side of the ball, turned the ball over, and simply did not play well enough to win.

Fortunately for the Browns, they're still 7-4 on the season and remain in a good spot to reach the playoffs. Still, Week 12 was a painful one for the Browns with a loss to an AFC opponent.

There were not a ton of them, but a few players did show up against the Broncos and had a pretty good game. A couple players got it done on defense, while a couple did on offense as well, including a coming out game for a rookie.

LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

Cleveland’s best linebacker is having a breakout season in his third NFL season. There are not many that can fly around like JOK and he’s become a Pro Bowl-level player this season. Against Denver, Owusu-Koramoah made 12 tackles, a sack, and forced a fumble. Who knew that Cleveland getting legit defensive tackles that are suited to start would mean good things for JOK?

WR Cedric Tillman

Week 12 was the first time that Tillman was utilized and he had his best game to date. With four catches for 55 yards, the rookie bested his previous high of five yards he had back in the first Ravens matchup. Tillman was a chain mover against the Broncos. The standout moment was him showing off strong hands on a play where he kept it from the defender. Perhaps Tillman can be a bigger weapon for this team down the stretch.

RB Jerome Ford

Cleveland likely did not run the ball enough against the Broncos, considering it’s somewhere they saw some success. Ford carried the ball nine times for 65 yards, with a king of 19. Ford was targeted as a check-down by the rookie quarterback a whopping seven times. With those targets, Ford turned four catches into 14 yards.

LB Sione Takitaki

Takitaki got the start for Anthony Walker Jr. and took care of business. Coming into the league, Takitaki’s ability to work sideline to sideline was a question mark. He improved greatly there and is having a nice season. Against Denver, Takitaki made six tackles and showed his ability to be a consistent tackler.

K Dustin Hopkins

Cleveland’s kicker just continues to do his job at a high rate and has been a welcomed newcomer. Going 2-for-2 against the Broncos, Hopkins fulfilled his job. His longest kick was only 36 yards, but he has now improved to 28-of-31 on the season. For the first time in a long time, when the kicker is trotted out on the field in Cleveland there is a good feeling the kick will be successful.
