The Cleveland Browns added six players in the 2024 NFL Draft that will have a chance to have an impact on the franchise as rookies. While the undrafted free agent additions are not officially yet, those players will soon factor in too even if there is a minimal shot they make the team in 2024.

Since the draft is over, there is no better time to dive in on a way-too-early 53-man roster prediction for the team.

Let’s get to it!

Note: Players with single asterisk (*) are 2024 draft picks and players with double asterisks (**) are 2024 free agents.

Quarterback (3)

IN: Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston**, Dorian Thompson-Robinson

OUT: Tyler Huntley**

The skinny: The Browns enter the season with a new, proven backup and will continue to develop Thompson-Robinson. They could look to flip Huntley for a late pick like they did Josh Dobbs last year.

Running back (4)

IN: Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford, D’Onta Foreman**, Nyhiem Hines**

OUT: Pierre Strong Jr., John Kelly Jr., Hassan Hall,

The skinny: Cleveland enters the season with more depth while Chubb works his way back from his knee injury. Both free-agent additions make the team and Hines gives them a special teams returner as well.

Wide receiver (6)

IN: Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, David Bell, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash*

OUT: James Proche II, Jaelon Darden, Mike Woods II

The skinny: The offseason trade for Jeudy makes this a better room with a higher ceiling. Cleveland will hope that Bell and Tillman can take a step forward. The fifth-round pick Thrash rounds out the room.

Tight end (3)

IN: David Njoku, Jordan Akins, Giovanni Ricci**

OUT: Zaire Mitchell-Paden,

The skinny: Harrison Bryant is swapped out for Ricci, who gives them a better blocker in their evolving offense.

Offensive line (9)

IN: Jedrick Wills Jr., Joel Bitonio, Ethan Pocic, Wyatt Teller, Jack Conklin, Dawand Jones, Luke Wypler, Hakeem Adeniji**, Zak Zinter*

OUT: James Hudson, Michael Dunn, Germain Ifedi**, Dawson Deaton

The skinny: Hudson is the former draft pick cut here and the rookie Zinter gives them a future piece in the middle of the offensive line. This is a strong group.

Defensive line (10)

IN: Myles Garrett, ZaDarius Smith, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Isaiah McGuire, Alex Wright, Dalvin Tomlinson, Shelby Harris, Quinton Jefferson**, Michael Hall Jr.*, Maurice Hurst

OUT: Siaki Ika, Sam Kamara, Lonnie Phelps, Isaiah Thomas, Jowon Briggs*, Chris Williams, Jayden Peevy

The skinny: It was the defensive tackle room that was the hardest decision to make on the roster. Cutting former third-round pick Ika was tough, but the room is better off for it.

Linebacker (6)

IN: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Jordan Hicks, Devin Bush, Tony Fields II, Mohamoud Diabate, Nathaniel Watson*

OUT: Charlie Thomas III, Caleb Johnson

The skinny: A new look room with Anthony Walker Jr. and Sione Takitaki gone. Watson makes the team as a seventh-round pick. I believe we could see an All-Pro season from JOK in 2024.

Cornerback (5)

IN: Denzel Ward, Martin Emerson Jr., Greg Newsome II, Cam Mitchell, Kahlef Hailassie, Myles Harden*

OUT: Tony Brown, Vincent Gray, Justin Hardee

The skinny: Cleveland continues to have one of the best cornerback trios in the NFL. The group is much like last year’s, except for the addition of the rookie Harden.

Safety (4)

IN: Grant Delpit, Juan Thornhill, Rodney McLeod, Ronnie Hickman Jr.

OUT: D’Anthony Bell

The skinny: Instead of keeping five safeties like last year to start things out, the Browns roll with four and get Bell to the practice squad.

Special teams (3)

IN: Dustin Hopkins, Corey Bojorquez, Charley Hughlett

OUT: Cade York, Lucas Havrisik

The skinny: If Hopkins can be the kicker that he was last year again, Cleveland is in really good shape. They get their same three guys back once again, which hasn’t happened often in Cleveland lately.
