Cleveland Browns decided to move on from offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt and a void remains there at this time.

Van Pelt is already moving toward his next job after his time with the Browns ended. Van Pelt is expected to interview for the Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator gif this week, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Van Pelt had been the offensive coordinator since Kevin Stefanski became head coach in Cleveland. The 53-year-old coordinator was also the quarterbacks coach with the Browns.

Raiders went ahead and removed the interim title from head coach Antonio Pierce and how he’s looking to fill his staff out as the official coach over there.

Cleveland has begun looking for their next offensive coordinator and they’ve interviewed Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach Andy Dickerson, former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, and Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson for the open job.

Van Pelt did not call plays with the Browns and it is not known whether or not that will stay the same with the next offensive coordinator.

Despite how it ended in Cleveland, it looks like Van Pelt is going to land on his feet relatively soon. That could be with the Raiders, who are uncertain at quarterback going forward, or with another team. We will have to see if Van Pelt is an OC right away or if he is going to be an offensive assistant.
