One Cleveland Browns assistant is getting an opportunity that will be great for both himself and the team.

Ephraim Banda just finished his first season as the safeties coach for the Browns. Banda is now set to be the defensive coordinator for the American team at the Senior Bowl.

It is an opportunity for Banda to get some on-the-field work in with some of the top junior and senior draft prospects.

Before coming to coach with the Browns, Banda was the defensive coordinator at Utah State for two seasons. Before that, he was with Miami (FL) for two seasons and worked his way up from being a safeties coach to the co-defensive coordinator.

When coaching the defense on the American team, Banda will be able to scout some really good defenders and deliver feedback to the Browns. It is an opportunity for him to coach with other coaches around the league, as well.

The Senior Bowl will have coaches from the Browns, Titans, Patriots, Giants, Vikings, Saints, and Jets coaching. Every team in the league will be represented in Mobile, Alabama in some way.

You’ll be able to watch the Senior Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. ET. More than 900 NFL personnel and a ton of media members will be in attendance, including A to Z Sports.
