Cleveland Browns have a 9-5 record and will finish the season with a winning record no matter what happens over the next few weeks.
The Browns currently lead the Wildcard for the AFC and would be the No. 5 seed if the playoffs began today. In Week 15, the Browns defeated the Bears by a score of 20-17 for their second straight win.
Last week, Cleveland was No. 8 in the NFL power rankings. After defeating Chicago, the Browns remain solid at No. 8. There is no falling this week for Cleveland.
“Last week: win vs. Chicago, 20–17
Next week: at HoustonRemember back in in 2021 when David Njoku was no commenting whether or not he wanted to remain with the Browns, Cleveland was stockpiling tight ends, there was a trade request that was rescinded and the decision on Njoku’s fifth-year option came down to the wire? Wild times. Now, Njoku is an absolute force, and the Browns would not be here without his ability to body folks in the end zone.” – Conor Orr, Sports Illustrated
Joe Flacco had three turnovers against the Bears but his two touchdown passes proved to be more pivotal. The Browns’ defense was stout and 14 of the Bears’ 20 points were handed to them by turnovers.
Next up for the Browns is a road trip to Houston, where they will try to grab win No. 10. Ten wins feel like a safe point for the Browns that should solidify a playoff spot.
Cleveland is playing some good football and has been given some respect lately by national media.
