It appears a serious injury has once again struck Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson. Watson went down on a non-contact injury and went down right away in pain against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7 NFL action.

Watson was surrounded by teammates and visibly very emotional following the injury with a towel over his face. The Cleveland quarterback was carted off of the field due to an injury that is feared to be season-ending. Cleveland ruled out Watson with an Achilles injury.

Cleveland has had Watson back for six games this season after he was only able to play six games last year due to a season-ending shoulder injury.

Following the injury, the Browns turned to second-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The Browns opted to move Thompson-Robinson to the backup spot and place veteran quarterback Jameis Winston as the emergency quarterback.

If it is indeed a serious injury for Watson, he will have played just 18 games for the Browns through three seasons. Watson played in six games in 2022 following his suspension and six last year. A tough break for the Browns considering all that they gave up for the quarterback.

On a day that Nick Chubb returned for the first time since his serious injury, the 1-5 Browns likely lose their starting quarterback for the season. Before exiting, Watson was 15-of-17 for 128 yards against the Bengals. A to Z Sports will continue to update this story as more becomes available.
