At 5-3 on the season, everything is still in front of the Cleveland Browns and they have a spot in the playoffs if they take care of business.

The toughest part of Cleveland’s schedule is, with just three of their final nine opponents currently slated to make the playoffs.

Still, the Browns will have to play the games and let the results play out on the field. I’m going to go ahead and say that the Browns will win at least 11 games this season for just the second time since 1994.

Browns’ remaining schedule:

  • at Ravens
  • vs. Steelers
  • at Broncos
  • at Rams
  • vs. Jaguars
  • vs. Bears
  • at Texans
  • vs. Jets
  • at Bengals

The Browns need to go 6-3 over this stretch to reach 11 wins, which will put them in the playoffs. They haven’t won 11 games or been in the playoffs since Kevin Stefanski’s first year as head coach in 2020.

With Deshaun Watson starting under center this season the Browns are 4-1. Their only loss came in Week 2 against the Steelers in the game that Nick Chubb was lost for the season. The issue is that Watson has to stay healthy. He’s not 100 percent with the shoulder right now, so taking fewer hits is going to be important.

Cleveland is going to be the favorite in six of their final nine games. They’re underdogs against the Ravens, it’ll likely be the same against the Jaguars and Bengals to end the season. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Browns were favorites against Jacksonville, depending on how the next few games go.

Still, all of these games have to be played. Nothing ever comes easy for Cleveland it seems, so it’s going to have to happen first. But expect the Browns to win 11 games and be playing past the first week of January.
