Unfortunately for Cleveland, the teacher behind the offensive line’s success could have a cloudy future with the team.
Bill Callahan is known by most as the best offensive line coach in the NFL. He very well could have a rare opportunity coming up to be an assistant on his son’s staff if or when he is named a head coach somewhere.
Brian Callahan has been hired by the Tennessee Titans to be their next head coach after parting ways with Mike Vrabel. We now wait to see what happens with his father.
Cleveland has been blessed to have Callahan’s presence since 2020 when Kevin Stefanski took over the Browns. However, having the chance to coach alongside your son is a great opportunity that would be hard to pass up.
The Browns interviewed Seattle Seahawks offensive line coach Andy Dickerson for their open offensive coordinator job. That interview should be one to keep an eye on with the possibility that Callahan does take the opportunity to join his son in the NFL.
If Cleveland does lose their offensive line coach, they won’t be blindsided. Callahan is a veteran coach who will keep Cleveland in the loop all the way. After all, the Browns will have to grant the ability for Callahan to interview for another team. Though, how much of an interview would it be with a father and son?
