Cleveland Browns have one player who embodies what they’ve faced this year with injuries.

David Njoku has played in 14 games and could play 17 games for the first time in his career this season. He’s faced a ton of adversity with the burns he suffered and then played with just days later. Simply put, he’s been a warrior and showed up no matter what.

In Week 15 against the Chicago Bears, Njoku caught a career-high 10 passes for 104 yards and a score. The run after the catch was a big part of Njoku’s game and he did it while having an injury that was previously not known about.

On an episode of Inside the NFL, Njoku shared that he was again injured at his home. It’s the second at-home incident for Njoku this season. The tight end shared that he stubbed his toe and didn’t think anything of it. While wearing a white sock he noticed it bleeding through, then was told by the trainer the next day that it would need stitched up.

“Friday comes I get three stitches, it’s game time Sunday we gotta do what we gotta do,” Njoku said on still playing Sunday despite the late week incident.

Just like when Njoku was burned at the end of September and played on Oct. 1, he again found a way to be ready no matter what. It is nothing new for him at this point.

“When it comes to game day we have to just deal with it and perform. So far this year it’s very exciting, to say the least.”

Through 14 games, Njoku has 704 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Both of those are career numbers for No. 85 and he in no way had an easy road to make it happen
