Cleveland Browns are looking to start a winning streak in Week 7 and it’s against an AFC opponent, so it’s even more beneficial.

The Indianapolis Colts will be starting Gardner Minshew against the Browns but Cleveland is prepared for them to be a different offense than they’ve been this season. With it being star running back Jonathan Taylor’s third game back from the physically unable-to-perform list, the Colts very well could ramp up his usage against Cleveland.

“You know, we’re ready for that, if that’s what it is,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Wednesday. I think they have multiple guys. They can put a bunch of guys in there, have a ton of respect for Jonathan Taylor, and we do anticipate that his workload increases as the games go on here. But they have multiple guys that can hurt you with the ball in their hand.”

Last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Taylor had eight runs which was a jump from six carries he had against the Tennessee Titans in his first game back. It was the receiving game that Taylor has had an impact in thus far. The former All-Pro had five catches for 46 yards against the Jaguars.

Cleveland deploys the best defense in the league and they’ll need to play well against Taylor and Co.

“Good run scheme with what Coach Steichen brought with him from Philly. Really good run scheme. I think a good offensive line, physical. They have a good RPO package. Again, that’s stuff that Coach Steichen’s done over his career, so it makes life hard on the defense. You really have to have a plan when you’re defending this type of attack,” Stefanski explained.

The Colts have the No. 10 offense in football with 359 yards a game, in scoring they come in at No. 11 with 23.3 points per game.

Even without rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, the Colts have the ability to be a good offense and Taylor will soon become a big part of that.
