We are now into the month of September and that means NFL football is here. The Cleveland Browns will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 and it’ll be a huge matchup to start the season.

Tom Brady’s first game in the booth will be between the Cowboys and Browns in Cleveland. That will be a memorable moment for the obvious reason.

Heading into the game, oddsmakers are going with the Browns at home. According to FanDuel, the Browns are -2.5 home favorites and a $100 bet would net you $72.50. Offenses are projected to be active with the over/under set at 42.5.

The game will feature plenty of stars on both sides of the football. Myles Garrett; Denzel Ward, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah lead a Browns defense that will be tasked with slowing down Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and the Cowboys offense.

On the flip side, the Browns will rely on Deshaun Watson to hit the ground running with the offense while going up against Micah Parsons and a tough Dallas defense. Cleveland won’t have Nick Chubb but will have plenty of playmakers with Amari Cooper, David Njoku, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and others looking to get the ball. The Browns will run the ball with Jerome Ford and D’Onta Foreman primarily. Cleveland does have questions along the offensive line entering the game

Cleveland lost just one game at home all of last season and they have played well there under Kevin Stefanski overall. The defense was night and day difference at home and then on the road in 2024. If Cleveland can start strong on defense, they will give themselves a great chance to send Dallas out of town 0-1.

Oddsmakers are signs with the Browns just slightly, so it is basically a pick ‘em at a neutral site. It is two teams who hope to be playing in the postseason to begin the season, so you can’t complain.
