Cleveland Browns are in a unique situation in Week 18 of the NFL season.
It’s not often that the franchise has been able to rest players with the playoffs already locked up, but that is what Cleveland is going to do against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Out against the Bengals for Cleveland will be WR Amari Cooper, S Juan Thornhill, CB Greg Newsome II, CB Mike Ford II, K Dustin Hopkins, and LB Anthony Walker Jr. Myles Garrett is unlikely to play in Cincinnati.
The amazing story out of Cleveland right now is the toughness that DE Ogbo Okoronkwo is showing by trying to play through a pectoral injury that was originally thought to be season-ending. Okoronkwo is attempting to make a playoff run with the team and tough it out. It is likely that the defensive end will play against Cincinnati and it’ll be his first action since Dec. 10 vs. Jaguars.
Pass rushing depth is key in the playoffs late in games. Cleveland has it with Okoronkwo being able to suit up.
Elijah Moore remains in concussion protocol but could play against the Bengals, or at least dress. Joining Moore as questionable is P Corey Bojorquez, WR Marquise Goodwin, and LB Jordan Kunaszyk.
Joe Flacco will be joined by a bunch of other starters that will not play on Sunday. Cleveland has been run over with injuries this season, so they have to take advantage of some extra time off for the players.
Cleveland defeated Cincinnati to start the season and they’ll try to do it again with Jeff Driskel under center. It’ll be the fifth different starting quarterback for the Browns this season. Cleveland has a chance to do something special by winning a game with five different quarterbacks.
A full injury report for both teams will be available here late afternoon.
Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase has a different mindset heading into matchup with Browns for obvious reason
Things are a bit different for this game between the Browns and Bengals.
