Cleveland Browns took more than just a loss in a football game during Week 12 to the Denver Broncos. The injury bug bit them again in the AFC matchup.

In the third quarter, QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson took a nasty shot that resulted in him exiting for a concussion check. The rookie was later ruled out with the concussion, which could jeopardize his availability for next week against the Rams.

DTR wasn’t the only one hurt, as two other players got ruled out. In the second half, WR Amari Cooper took a hard hit to the ribs and was ruled out. There is worry about whether or not Myles Garrett will be okay too. Additionally, DT Jordan Elliott had to exit the game with an ankle injury he couldn’t return from.

Following the game, head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that DTR did indeed suffer a concussion. An unfortunate blow for the rookie who was thrown into the fire this season when he wasn’t expected to be.

In good news, tests on Cooper’s ribs were negative. He’s likely bruised and very well could take it easy in practice next week.

If DTR isn’t able to go in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams, the Browns have an interesting choice on their hands. They’ll either hand the ball to the struggling P.J. Walker, or Joe Flacco will make his debut with the Browns.

Injuries are a part of the game and the Browns have taken more than their fair share of them during the 2023 season.
