Cleveland Browns have a chance to move above .500 this season with the New York Giants coming to town.
The Browns will be without tight end David Njoku, offensive tackle Jack Conklin, and running back Pierre Strong Jr. against New York with all being previously ruled out.
In good news for the Browns, it will be the season debut for former No. 10 overall pick left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr.
Wills played in just eight games last season and was the other part of the Browns losing their starting tackles in 2023. Now playing on the fifth-year option of his contract, Wills is in a contract year and is playing toward his next deal.
It will be interesting to see if that deal comes with the Browns. In large part, it will matter how he plays over the course of this season now that he is back healthy. Wills has not shown he is the franchise left tackle due to inconsistencies up to this point.
Going from James Hudson and Dawand Jones as the starting tackles to Wills and Jones would be a win for the Browns. They should have Conklin back in the very near future as well.
