It’s already Week 17 around the NFL officially with the week’s schedule kicking off in Cleveland shortly.

Cleveland Browns host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football with a chance to clinch a spot in the playoffs on the line for the Browns.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, they’ll have to get it done without a few starters. The Browns will be without K Dustin Hopkins (hamstring) and P Corey Bojorquez (quad). Also, LB Anthony Walker Jr. (knee) and DE Ogbo Okoronkwo (pec) were already ruled out too.

Coming into the game, the above players were all ruled out, outside of Bojorquez who was doubtful. Earlier today, the Browns elevated K Riley Patterson and P Matt Haack from the practice squad. Cleveland added both of these players at the beginning of the week for this exact reason.

Hopkins is a weapon and he will be missed. Patterson is a capable kicker, who has already appeared in 13 games this season with the Detroit Lions. If things go the Browns’ way, they won’t rely on a kick to win the game anyway.

In brutal news, WR Amari Cooper will not play on the short week. Cooper tried to give it a go in warmups and won’t be suiting up.

Browns inactive list vs. Jets:

WR Amari Cooper

K Dustin Hopkins

P Corey Bojorquez

LB Anthony Walker Jr.

DE Ogbo Okoronkwo

C Luke Wypler

DE Sam Kamara
