Cleveland Browns have wasted no time making a decision on Jerry Jeudy’s future with the team after trading for him.

The Browns have given Jeudy a three-year contract extension worth up to $58 million with $41 million guaranteed at signing. As of right now, the contract details are not yet fully known.

Cleveland traded two late picks for Jeudy just before free agency began. A player that they’ve had on their radar for a couple of years now, it makes sense to lock him up past the fifth-year option that he was scheduled to play on.

Jeudy was scheduled to be a free agent after the 2024 season, as are Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. Having none of their top three wideouts under contract past this season was not ideal.

In 2022, Jeudy had his best season with 972 yards. Last season he had 758 yards in 16 games played with the Broncos. Cleveland sees a higher potential that they hope to uncap with Jeudy and this signing shows that.

This post will be updated as more information on the contract becomes available.
