When the Cleveland Browns signed Joe Flacco ahead of his movie-like run, the organization didn't think he'd have the Browns' NFL playoff spot secured heading into Week 18.

But that is exactly what happened.

Now, Cleveland is choosing to do right by the quarterback who injected life into the organization that looked hapless during the mid-point of the season.

With the Browns choosing to rest key starters in Week 18, one of those people being Flacco, the quarterback lost out on a $75,000 incentive in his contract if he plays in 50 percent of the team's snaps and the Browns win.

Cleveland elected to convert that incentive to a bonus that comes if Flacco is named on the 53-man roster, Field Yates said.

The rock star veteran quarterback is going to get his bonus.

It is a subtle move. But it shows the Browns care about the players who have helped push the team to the NFL postseason.

Plus, with several free agents set to hit the market once the season is over, a move like the Browns made Saturday is sure to be in the back of their minds.

Cleveland is a quality organization, at least for now.
