NFL teams shouldn’t need any extra motivation to excel but the Cleveland Browns just got some.

In a prediction by NFL Network’s Adam Rank, he has the Browns taking a huge step back.

Rank has Cleveland set to only win six games in 2023 with QB Deshaun Watson at the helm for a full season.

The 6-11 record would mean the Browns are taking a step back for two straight years, even though they’ve improved the roster and made changes each season. In 2020 the Browns were 8-9, then 7-10 last year, and now Rank has them dropping to 6-11 this season.

With such a record, it would signal the end for Kevin Stefanski as the head coach of the Browns.

Rank believes the Browns will win four games in the division, including two against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that they’ll only find two more wins on the 17-game slate. He has them losing to the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Houston Texans. Those are all teams that the Browns are significantly better than on paper.

If the Browns need any motivation for the 2023 season, here it is.
