The Cleveland Browns are preparing for the Houston Texans and they’re doing it a bit short-handed.

On Tuesday, the following players are not practicing; WR Amari Cooper, K Dustin Hopkins, RB Kareem Hunt, CB Greg Newsome II, RB Pierre Strong Jr., WR Cedric Tillman, and S Juan Thornhill.

The biggest miss for the Browns on Saturday in the Wild Card could be Hopkins, who head coach Kevin Stefanski called ‘unlikely’ to play before practice.

Hopkins is dealing with that hamstring injury that he had come about when trying to make a tackle on a kick return against the Texans in Week 16.

Cooper is dealing with a heel injury but was also listed as a rest day. There should be no worries with him after a couple of weeks off. Last time out, it was a huge 265-yard performance for Cooper.

Cleveland has had Hunt out multiple times this season of practice with a groin and he could practice as soon as tomorrow. The same could be said with Thornhill.

Strong and Tillman had injuries creep up against the Bengals in the final game of the regular season and their availability is cloudy for the Wild Card.
