The fanbase showed up for the Cleveland Browns in 2023 and the numbers show that.
Cleveland averaged 68,934 fans at their games in 2023 and that number is first in the AFC North. Overall, the Browns had the No. 17 ranking in the league.
It was the Browns who just barely edged out the Baltimore Ravens (18th) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (24th) came in third. The Cincinnati Bengals were 25th in the NFL and last in the division. These numbers were compiled by ESPN.
While the Browns led the division in average attendance between home and road games, they were second in the AFC North in home attendance. The Ravens were 11th in the league and first in the division, ahead of the Browns at No. 19 and the Steelers at No. 20. Cincinnati came in at 22nd in terms of home attendance.
Cleveland won 11 games in 2023 and had a boatload of injuries along the way. Next season, expectations will rise a bit with Deshaun Watson back under center and some off-season moves. The Browns should be able to improve the product on the field and in return, a few more fans should pop out in 2024.
For now, Cleveland has bragging rights for playing in front of the most fans in the division during the 2023 season on average.
Joe Flacco’s next team may already be obvious before free agency even begins
