Browns’ 3-Round 2026 NFL Mock Draft: Cleveland has a clear direction they need to go following Andrew Berry’s first trade of the offseason
A fresh new mock draft for the Cleveland Browns coming away from the combine.
The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is now behind us and it means we’re inching closer to the draft.
For the Cleveland Browns, it’s another impotent draft where they must address several positions. Cleveland is expected to go offensive-heavy in this draft, with 10 picks to its credit. Cleveland addressed one of their needs on Monday morning by trading for RT Tytus Howard from the Houston Texans.
With the combine over and the page now turning to free agency next week, there’s no better time to run through a mock draft.
3-round 2026 Cleveland Browns NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 6: Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
Freeling has been rising up draft boards and he’s here for the Browns to take. The Georgia offensive tackle has the highest ceiling of any offensive linemen and he brings a strong athletic makeup at 6-foot-7. Freeling impressed with his 4.93 40-yard dash time, 33.5-inch vertical jump, and 9-foot-7 broad jump. Cleveland needs a long-term solution at left tackle and Freeling has all of the goods to be the guy.
Round 1, Pick 24: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana
Cooper was Fernando Mendoza’s top weapon at Indiana and now he has a chance to sneak into the first round. The 6-foot, 196-pound build Cooper brings combined with his ability to be dangerous after the catch was already impressive. Adding a 4.47 40-yard dash time only helped the stock of the Indiana wideout. A player the Browns should be open to taking late in the first to upgrade their wide receiver room.
Round 2, Pick 39: Chase Bisontis, IOL, Texas A&M
Cleveland’s need for as many as five offensive linemen potentially is going to force them to at least have a makeshift unit put together in free agency. But with the Browns wanting to get younger there, it wouldn’t be a shock if they’re starting two rookies next season up front. Bisontis is an elite athlete at guard and would pair nicely with taking Freeling with the first pick.
Round 3, Pick 70: Jake Slaughter, C, Florida
Slaughter is a 6-foot-5, 303-pound center who impressed athletically at the combine. The Florida product posted a 5.10 40-yard dash, 32.5-inch vertical, and a 9-foot broad jump. Slaughter wouldn’t necessarily have to start as a rookie, though I’m not putting it out of the realm of possibility. A good developmental backup who brings a strong football mind.
