If four games mean anything, Myles Garrett is going to have another one of those seasons that will put him among the best defenders in the NFL.
With four games played, PFF has named Garrett to their first-quarter All-Pro team. It is a no-doubter for Garrett, who is already up to 5.5 sacks.
Garrett is joined by San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa. Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons is second team behind Garrett; along with DeMarcus Lawrence.
“Leading all players with 23 total pressures, including six sacks and six hits, Garrett boasts a 94.0 PFF pass-rush grade — the best of any player in football right now. He struggled against the run this week against the Ravens but has earned 90.0-plus PFF pass-rushing grades in all four games this season.” – Pro Football Focus
Garrett’s career high in sacks is 16, which he recorded each of the last two seasons. He’s benefiting from an improved defensive line and better system. Continuing at this rate, Garrett is going to break his career-high sack total with ease.
So far in his now seven-year career, Garrett has already been named to an All-Pro team four times.
Cleveland will need their best player to continue playing at a high level. In Week 3, it was 3.5 sacks against the Tennessee Titans alone, another one of those performances will only help his Defensive Player of the Year chances.
