Myles Garrett is once again going to represent the Cleveland Browns on the AP All-Pro team.
Garrett was the top vote-getter for edge rushers and he was joined by Steelers’ T.J. Watt. Dallas Cowboys DE Micah Parsons and Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby were voted to the second team.
Cleveland had only one player make the All-Pro team and that was Garrett. It is his third time being named to the first team and it is his fifth All-Pro selection overall.
Garrett had 14 sacks and four fumbles this season for the No. 1 defense in the NFL that resides in Cleveland. Although he spent a month dealing with a shoulder injury, Garrett has been the most impactful player for a defense to gameplan for. He is likely to be the Defensive Player of the Year.
According to PFF, Garrett has a pass rush win rate of 27.5 percent and is creating pressure on 18.3 percent of pass rushes. He is often double teamed and even triple teamed — he has been vocal about the lack of holding calls against opposing tackles.
Arguably one of the best players in football landing on the first team isn’t all that surprising. The All-Pro voting looks to have gotten it right.
