The Cleveland Browns play the Philadelphia Eagles in a third game of the team's preseason, and with it, the Browns have an opportunity to show how good the defensive line can be.

Recently, Eagles veteran Jason Kelce complimented the Browns defensive line, stating that they are one of the better defensive lines in the NFL. It was a compliment Garrett, the Browns' star defensive lineman, took in stride.

“It means a lot," Garrett said of Kelce's comments. "He’s seen a whole lot. He’s been around for a while, and he’s played against some really good ones. Definitely it’s an honor coming from him. We got to make the most of it. We appreciate the words, but we got to keep on putting the work in.”

The Eagles have an elite offensive line, and they present a unique challenge that will test the Browns in a different way than the opponents they have played to this point in the preseason. It is a challenge Garrett, as a team leader, plans to take on.

“I mean, you want to see a lot of different looks as far as the offensive line just because that’s what you’re going to face," Garrett said of what to expect against the Eagles.

"Not everyone’s going to set the same. They have a pretty unique scheme, at least compared to some of the other teams we’ll face in the league and it allows us to have some liberties we wouldn’t face against our own team and that gives us a different look and some adjustments that we weren’t able to really see when we were playing each other. The way they were setting, the way they were kicking allows for us to see if stuff was a little bit further down the line and prepared for the season.”

Heading into the team's matchup with the Eagles, the talk may be about Dorian Thompson-Robinson and the other intriguing cast of characters the Browns will grant another look. But really, the story resides in the Browns getting the most out of a defensive line that has the names to produce and just needs to put together the numbers to back it up.
