Cleveland Browns’ star pass rusher is certainly on track to make it to the most prestigious place for football players.

Colin Cowherd listed DE Myles Garrett as one of 10 active football players to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The highest of places for professional football players were only the best of the best make it.

Garrett has recently dominated with back-to-back 16-sack seasons and his consistency is what stands out. In the last five seasons, Garrett has totaled at least 12 sacks a season outside of 2019 when he was suspended for the final six games for the Mason Rudolph incident.

As a rookie, Garrett quickly broke into the NFL landscape with seven sacks in nine starts for a bad Browns football team.

So far in his career, the Browns’ superstar is a four-time Pro Bowl participant and two-time first-team All-Pro. Additionally, Garrett was second-team All-Pro in two other seasons.

With 74.5 sacks so far, Garrett owns the Browns’ franchise record for sacks in a career. He passed Clay Matthews’ mark of 62 sacks last season. It’s a crazier stat when you think that Garrett has 84 games played with the Browns and Matthews played 232 games with Cleveland.

If Garrett continues this pace of play and stays in his prime for a long stretch, he has the chance to go down as one of the best pass rushers ever. We have to agree with Cowherd’s stance here.
