Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is possibly facing a grueling next month that could contain more than one surgery.

There is preliminary talk that Chubb will have two surgeries on the injured left knee he suffered against the Pittsburgh Steelers, at least weeks apart, according to Josina Anderson. The first of the surgeries could happen within the next week or so.

Chubb exited against the Steelers in the second quarter of the Monday Night Football game after taking a low hit from safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to his knee. Following the hit, Chubb was carted off and immediately ruled out.

Right away, it was known that it was serious and that his season was likely over. As a result, it looks like it could be a tricky recovery process that will perhaps be lengthy, as well.

Cleveland has begun to look at running back depth to add. Free agent Kareem Hunt visited the Browns on Tuesday and a reunion could happen between the two sides. There are other options out there for the Browns too, including Cam Akers with the Los Angeles Rams.

The exacts of Chubb’s injury haven’t been officially released but it’s expected to be a multiple ligament tear.

Two surgeries within a month are rough and not the news that Chubb needed after getting knocked out of his 2023 season.
