It isn’t even a game day and the Cleveland Browns just picked up a big win.

Running back Nick Chubb is believed to only have suffered a torn MCL, which is a much better outcome than what was thought. Chubb was initially thought to have torn multiple ligaments. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news.

Chubb took a low hit from safety Minkah Fitzpatrick on Monday Night Football in Week 2 that folded his knee the wrong way. He immediately was carted off and ruled out, signaling that it was a serious injury.

There were legitimate questions around the possibility that Chubb wouldn’t be able to play football again with another crucial injury to the same knee he blew out in college.

Running back Jerome Ford filled in nicely against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the team signed Kareem Hunt to be the No. 2 back, then Pierre Strong Jr. is behind Hunt.

Great news for the recovery of Chubb going forward and the Browns in general.
