After losing to the Denver Broncos in Week 4, the Cleveland Browns sit at 7-4 on the season and the playoff picture became a bit tighter.

Week 13 is going to get no easier for the Browns, who will stay out west and play the Los Angeles Rams.

Let’s dive in on where the Browns stand currently in the playoff picture, as well as the AFC North.

AFC playoff picture if the season ended today:

Baltimore Ravens (9-3)

Kansas City Chiefs (8-3)

Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3)

Miami Dolphins (8-3)

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4)

Cleveland Browns (7-4)

Indianapolis Colts (6-5)

In the hunt

Houston Texans (6-5)

Denver Broncos (6-5)

Buffalo Bills (6-6)

Cincinnati Bengals (5-6)

With the loss in Week 12, the Browns dropped one spot in the seeding to No. 6 after the Steelers jumped them. If it was wildcard weekend, the Browns would travel to play the Jaguars, a team they already play on Dec. 10.

If Cleveland were to lose in Week 13, they would stay in the same spot thanks to the tiebreaker they own over the Colts. Back in Week 7, the Browns defeated the Colts. It is safe to say the seeding is very tight right now.

The New York Times playoff simulator gives the Browns a 65 percent chance to make the postseason. Before the loss, Cleveland sat at nearly 90 percent.

How does the AFC North look for the Browns?

Ravens (9-3)

Steelers (7-4)

Browns (7-4)

Bengals (5-6)

Unless there is a drastic collapse, the Browns will not be finishing last in the division. We’ve seen that happen countless times over the past couple of decades. Cincinnati is looking forward to next year with Joe Burrow out the rest of this season.

Ravens are on their bye week finally, so both the Browns and Steelers will have a chance to pull within a game of Baltimore. Cleveland doesn’t play Baltimore again this season, having already had their two matchups. So, the Browns will need some outside help with them losing some games.

Pittsburgh’s offense looked a lot better last week after firing Matt Canada — we may need to take them a little more seriously now.

Who should Browns fans be rooting for in Week 13?

On Sunday Night Football, Browns fans will be wanting the Packers to upset the No. 2 Chiefs. The following night will be the Bengals traveling to Jacksonville. It’ll be one time that the Browns fans need to embrace the stripes.

Additionally, the No. 4 Dolphins are playing the Washington Commanders. It isn’t likely, but the Commanders winning would help Cleveland.

The biggest one Cleveland needs to key on is the Arizona Cardinals potentially upsetting the Steelers. Cleveland would move up in the division as well as the playoff picture if that were to happen.
