In Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Cleveland Browns are going to need all hands on deck. They just received good news a crucial piece to the puzzle.
After entering the concussion protocol last week against the Los Angeles Rams, WR Amari Cooper has been cleared of a concussion and will be able to go against the Jaguars. It’s crucial for the Browns to have their top pass-catching weapon out there for QB Joe Flacco (likely). An independent neurological consultant had to be the one to clear Cooper.
Cooper was dealing with a rib injury as well that stemmed from one of the tough hits he took against Los Angeles.
With Cooper not having to miss a game, he will keep intact that he has never missed a game while with the Browns. The former Pro Bowl receiver started all 17 games last season and 12 games this season.
So far this year, Cooper has 799 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He will once again be a 1,000-yard receiver, even with what has happened to the quarterback position this season for Cleveland.
The Browns will certainly be glad they have Cooper against the 8-4 Jaguars, a team they need to pick up a win against. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in this AFC matchup.
