Cleveland Browns have landed on the most ideal hire that they could have after losing one of the NFL’s best assistants.
With Bill Callahan leaving for the Tennessee Titans, the Browns lost who is regarded as the best offensive line coach there is.
Now, the Browns have landed on their replacement. Just weeks ago, the Browns interviewed Andy Dickerson for their offensive coordinator position. Dickerson is joining the team as the offensive line coach, first reported by Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.
Dickerson comes over from the Seattle Seahawks where he was the offensive line coach for two seasons and had been with the team since 2021 overall.
Before joining the Seahawks, Dickerson was the assistant offensive line coach with the Rams from 2012-2020. Interestingly enough, this is not Dickerson’s first time with the Browns.
In 2009, Dickerson was a defensive quality control coach in Cleveland. The following season the Browns had Dickerson as their assistant offensive line coach. He got a start in the NFL in the early 2000s as an intern with Washington and New England.
Cleveland’s offensive line has been a strong suit for a few years now and the running game has been a focal point too. Both are things that Dickerson will be tasked with continuing to evolve.
After making numerous changes to the offensive staff, the pieces have been put back together with some high-quality names.
