Cleveland Browns have two players who are receiving their dues following the end of their seasons.
Star DE Myles Garrett and LG Joel Bitonio were both named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-AFC team. Additionally, Garrett was named to the All-NFL team.
Garrett was named to the team last year, so he is a back-to-back recipient of the honor.
This season, Garrett totaled 14 sacks and four forced fumbles. After Nov. 19 when Garrett totaled two sacks against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he recorded just one sack the rest of the season. A shoulder injury limited Garrett for much of the campaign, but he still managed to be one of the most dominant pass rushers in the NFL.
Cleveland’s offensive line dealt with more than its fair share of injuries. The top three tackles all went down and C Ethan Pocic missed time. Still, Bitonio was a staple for the offensive line and provided another really good season for the Browns. He has made six straight Pro Bowls overall.
Bitonio was edged out by Kansas City Chiefs G Joe Thuney on the All-NFL team. The veteran guard had the unfortunate privilege of blocking for five different quarterbacks in 2023 due to injuries.
As postseason awards continue to trickle in, Garrett and Bitonio have been the common theme for the Browns in terms of being recognized.
