Cleveland Browns have made a roster move to start the week of their second preseason game.

Following a visit and workout with the Browns, DE/LB Charles Wiley is signing with the team, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The move comes as the Browns need more training camp depth off of the edge. Yesterday, DE Alex Wright and DE Isaiah Thomas were both idle in practice. Those injuries stem from the first preseason game against the New York Jets, though no official word was given on exactly what they were.

Wiley was with the Browns yesterday for his visit and everything worked out. The UTSA product once played at Ole Miss, before transferring to the Roadrunners where he had a standout career.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Wiley had 136 tackles, 11 sacks, and three fumble recoveries.

To make move for the addition, the Browns waived WR Ra’Shaun Henry.

This year in the XFL, Wiley played in seven games. In those seven games, Wiley had a sack and six tackles.

After being undrafted out of UTSA, Wiley spent time with both the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants practice squads.
