The Cleveland Browns are currently focused on free agency and the NFL Drat to follow. However, it isn’t too early to look ahead at who the Browns could get in 2025.

Cleveland will have a first-round pick in 2025 for the first time since 2021. Cleveland traded a package that included three first-round picks to the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson a couple of seasons ago.

Now with this first-round pick, A to Z Sports’ Travis May has the Browns taking a player that fans might really like.

15. Cleveland Browns: Emeka Egbuka, WR Ohio State

“Emeka Egbuka missed significant time last fall, but still very likely would have been a first-round pick at receiver this year. He posted the second-best production profile of any second-year WR behind only Marvin Harrison Jr. in 2022. The Browns desperately need more competent wide receiver play and this pick would do it.” – Travis May, A to Z Sports.

Cleveland gets the 15th pick thanks to the current Super Bowl odds in 2025.

By the 2025 season, the Browns’ wide receiver room could look quite a bit different. While they could extend him, Amari Cooper becomes a free agent in 2025, the same can be said about Elijah Moore. After the top two wide receivers, David Bell and Cedric Tillman are the only other players on the roster that look to be guys that could be around in 2025.

Egbuka’s potential right now I would place as a very high WR2 in a good offense. The Ohio State product would immediately add value, especially with his ability to make plays after the catch. With the cost of wideouts in free agency, building through the draft is a wise decision.

Don’t be surprised if the Browns overhaul the wide receiver position somewhat over the next couple of seasons. If Egbuka lands in Cleveland, he’d be welcomed with open arms.
