Cleveland Browns have some things riding for them in Week 2 when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

It’ll be the Browns trying to reach 2-0 for the first time in 30 years and they’ll be doing it while wearing their white helmets that are a throwback to the 1946 season.

Cleveland is going to pair the helmets with the white throwback uniforms that they daunted multiple times in 2021. It’ll be the first time in seven decades that the Browns have wore a helmet other than the traditional orange one.

In 2023, the Browns are set to wear this combo a total of three times. After the game against the Steelers, they’ll wear them in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, and in Week 17 against the New York Jets.

"We decided to go with the white helmet for a couple reasons — it harkens back to our past, and a lot of our greatest players wore white helmets,” said executive vice president JW Johnson. “We also heard from our fans that it was the direction they wanted. We always want to continue having great fan interaction and deliver for them as much as we possibly can."

Cleveland will hope to pull off a win in their new lids against a team they’ve battled it out with for many years.
