The Cleveland Browns are at an important crossroads in their season where it will soon be decided whether or not they can be a team in the postseason.
At 7-5 on the season and losers of two games straight, the Browns are walking into a game that is a ‘must-win’ at home against a banged-up Jacksonville Jaguars team.
Cleveland is 5-1 at home on the season and that very well could be the key to their success during the final five games of the season. That starts in Week 14 with the Jaguars.
The only home loss for the Browns was the first go around with the Baltimore Ravens in Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s first career start. Cleveland was blown out of that game, but other than that they’ve been lights out at home.
Wins over the 49ers, Bengals, Steelers, Titans, and Cardinals all came at home for the Browns. It is no secret that the defense has struggled on the road, but at home, they’ve allowed just 23 points in the five wins.
After Jacksonville, Cleveland will host the Chicago Bears. In Week 16 they will travel to Houston, then it’s back home to host the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. Cleveland closes the season out on the road against the Bengals.
The Browns need to win 10 games likely to reach the playoffs. A road win will have to probably come about, but the season ends favorably for them to reach that mark.
Browns Week 14 game may have just gotten a lot easier with news around Jaguars
Cleveland Browns may not be facing the QB1 in Jacksonville.
