The Cleveland Browns have a very crucial couple of months ahead of them between free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.

Cleveland will have 10 selections in the draft come April and stacking good classes on what looks like a nice haul from last year is key for the Browns. Two first-round picks will help the chase for a team that has a number of needs coming off a 5-12 campaign.

The Browns make three key picks right away in the latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft

The latest 2-round mock draft ahead of April here at A to Z Sports has the Browns taking a couple of players who haven’t necessarily been mocked to them a ton, but could make sense. Cleveland starts things off by filling a big need with an offensive lineman.

Round 1, Pick 6: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

Round 1, Pick 24: Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana

Round 2, Pick 39: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

With the Browns having five offensive linemen set to hit free agency, drafting the top lineman on the board is in play at No. 6 overall. Mauigoa was a standout right tackle for Miami and projects as a very good guard if it doesn’t work out for him at tackle. The Browns would likely be filling a hole for a long time if they were to select Mauigoa.

Cooper will be the surprise pick here because he’s largely viewed as a Day 2 selection by most. Some believe the Indiana wideout could rise into a first-round selection, and I don’t have much pushback on it. Cooper had 937 receiving yards as Fernando Mendoza’s top target in 2025 and can be a real problem with the ball in his hands.

Drafting Cooper would give the Browns a player who can make a man miss and pick up extra yardage after the catch. Cleveland’s offense lacks weapons outside of Jerry Jeudy, Harold Fannin Jr., and Quinshon Judkins. Adding a playmaker early in the draft is crucial for Cleveland.

With the news of LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah likely not to return to the playing field, the Browns could have a need alongside Carson Schwesinger if Devin Bush walks in free agency. Hill would give the Browns a dynamic athlete who can also get after the passer from the middle of the defense. It may not be one of Cleveland’s biggest needs, but it’d make their defense even more dangerous.

All in all, if the Browns walked away with this class it would be hard not to be happy as long as free agency goes in a positive way.
