It is a victory Monday for the Cleveland Browns following their Week 9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
The Browns showed up big on the defensive side of the ball, allowing just 58 total yards in a 27-0 shutout. The offense played acceptable for the most part, too.
Cleveland has quite a few winners coming away from this one, there are even a few that won’t be highlighted because there are so many. Below, you’ll find the Week 9 standouts.
Winners
DT Dalvin Tomlinson
Tomlinson had his best game in a Browns uniform on Sunday. The defensive tackle had 2.5 sacks against the Cardinals and showed great burst up the middle. Cleveland has legit defensive tackles this season and it has showed.
WR Amari Cooper
Cooper isn’t talked about enough around the NFL when it comes to his ability to get open. Against the Cardinals, Cooper totaled five catches for 139 receiving yards and a score. A sure-handed receiver who is always open for Cleveland.
DT Shelby Harris
Harris was a late signing for the Browns and it has paid off. The veteran defensive tackle had three tackles, one tackle for a loss, a forced fumble, as well as a sack in Week 9. Cleveland knew what they were getting with the vet.
S Grant Delpit
After a strong start to the season, Delpit had a pair of rough weeks before last week. Now, in the last two games, he’s back to playing at a high level. Delpit was flying around against Arizona and led the way with 10 tackles and a half-sack.
WR/PR James Proche
Proche showed up to Cleveland this past week and handled punt returns, as he was called up from the practice squad. It was the most consistent game of punt returns we’ve seen in quite some time. Proche returned six punts with nearly 10 yards per return.
QB Deshaun Watson
Watson returned for his first full game since Week 3 against the Titans and it went pretty well. After a rough start, Watson rebounded and was able to connect on a pair of throws downfield. Watson connected on a 59-yard bomb to Cooper, it was the highlight. Against the Cardinals, Watson went 19-of-30 for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Not turning the ball over here is key.
