The Cleveland Browns are 1-4 in the NFL season now and the playoffs are already a very long shot and not worth talking about.

A 34-13 loss at the hands of the Washington Commanders gave the Browns their third straight loss. Coming into the season, the Browns had high aspirations for the season and those would be laughable to have now.

A failure has happened all around for the Browns’ offense with no resolution in reach

The Browns offense is terrible and there is no fix that is magically going to happen. Coming into the game, the Commanders had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. It didn’t matter, the Browns went out and put up just 13 points and 212 total yards.

Deshaun Watson finished 15-of-28 for 125 yards. Cleveland’s starting quarterback gave up a fumble and was sacked seven times. His best throw of the day was on a 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jordan Akins. By no means has Cleveland’s offensive line been good, but the quarterback has forced sacks upon himself.

Wide receivers are dropping passes at times, and at other times receivers like Amari Cooper can’t get on the same page as Watson. Cleveland was just 1-for-13 converting third downs against Washington.

Somehow, the Browns offense got much worse from last year, and now they have a big issue on their hands. Cleveland started five different quarterbacks last season but still won 11 games. Cleveland will soon get Nick Chubb back, but he is not going to fix what is going on for the Browns.

Cleveland brought in Ken Dorsey to be the offensive coordinator, but the offense that Kevin Stefanski calls plays for lost the worst it has in years. In fact, the team looks as bad as it has in years.

The Browns looked to have made a major mistake when trading for Watson. He is one of the biggest issues with the team but they have more and there is no reason to expect for it to be fixed this season.

With the schedule set to get tougher for the Browns going forward, it's fair to wonder how much uglier this will get.
