Cleveland Browns are meeting with one of the best playmakers in the 2026 NFL Draft, and they may end up taking him in the first round
The Cleveland Browns are completing another very key top-30 visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
We’ve made it through about two weeks of free agency and the Cleveland Browns still haven’t addressed one of their biggest needs.
Cleveland has been heavily invested in getting the offensive line together in free agency, as they should be. The Browns still have a major need at wide receiver, and they’re likely to address it in the draft with the lack of options remaining.
The Browns are set to meet with another top WR in the 2026 NFL Draft
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Browns are meeting with Washington WR Denzel Boston on Friday for a top-30 visit. Boston has 12 predraft visits set up, and one of them is with the Browns, who have already met with wideouts like Ohio State’s Carnell Tate, Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson, Indiana’s Omar Cooper Jr., and Louisville’s Chris Bell.
Boston is coming off back-to-back seasons where he eclipsed 800 receiving yards for the Washington Huskies. Over the last two seasons alone, Boston has totaled 20 total touchdowns as a big 6-foot-4 target with terrific ball skills. Boston isn’t the fastest wideout, but it’s not how he wins routes at his size.
Cleveland badly needs an influx of talent at wide receiver. Jerry Jeudy is a solid No. 2 option, but beyond him, Isaiah Bond and Cedric Tillman are the team’s top three wideouts. Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. led the team in receiving with 731 yards in 2025 as a rookie. While it was impressive, there’s no reason a rookie tight end should have been the team’s leading wideout.
I believe three wide receivers in this draft have the traits to be a true No. 1 wideout. Tate, Boston, and USC’s Makai Lemon are those three players.
If the Browns want Boston, they’re likely to have to take him at No. 24 overall. No. 6 is simply too rich and there’s a very strong chance he’s gone by the No. 39 overall pick in the second round.
Cleveland is clearly doing their due diligence on the wide receiver class as a whole. They’re showing interest in the top names and at least one of them is tracking toward landing in Cleveland.
