Former Browns QB Jameis Winston sends strong message about Todd Monken’s key hire he’s made for Cleveland
Jameis Winston has been around for a while and may know a thing or two about the new Cleveland Browns’ assistant coach.
With the hire of Todd Monken as the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns, all attention has turned to the coaching staff being built out.
Much of the focus is on whether or not Jim Schwartz will return as the defensive coordinator. In the meantime, Monken has landed on Danny Breyer as the pass game coordinator, a key role within the offense.

Winston was quite the character for the season he spent in Cleveland last year and he didn’t waste much time revealing a take on the new pass game coordinator for Cleveland, via X.

Background on new Browns pass game coordinator Danny Breyer
Breyer joins the Browns after spending the last three years with the Ravens. Breyer worked closely with the tight ends in 2025 as an offensive assistant and started as an offensive quality control assistant. Before Breyer joined the Ravens, he was an offensive assistant for four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.
In 2016, Breyer was an analytics assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The new hire for Cleveland also spent a brief time with the Miami Dolphins. Breyer was a graduate assistant at both Illinois and Akron, and he also held a role in player personnel at Indiana in 2013.
